Rivulet has a web based front end that you can use to enter programmes
into the schedule, and start and stop programs manually when you need
to. You enter the schedule through the page 'schedule.php', which
is shown below:
Each of the free time slots is shown as a link which you can click
on to enter a programme in that slot:
When you enter a programme, you can choose various options:
- Start time - the scheduled start time for this programme.
- Start type - choose whether to start by the clock, wait for the end
of the previous show, or delay the timed start for five or ten minutes
so that someone can roll the show over manually using the controller
page.
- Duration - length of the show in minutes
- Programme title - the name of the programme. This will appear in the
stream metadata - i.e. it will come up in someone's player when they
listen to the show.
- Description - A fuller description of the show, which appears on the
timetable page.
- Source type - The type of source to use for playing the show. Usually
this is either live or prerecorded, but you can also play from an
external stream, play a repeat of a previous show, or loop the last
few recorded shows.
- Parameters - any parameters which are needed by the type of source
you are using.
Clicking 'insert record' will enter the show into the database.
